Hey, I'm going to be reviewing this article. Expect comments by the end of the week. Some Dude From North Carolinawanna talk? 16:11, 4 February 2021 (UTC)
Infobox and lead
[edit]- Infobox looks good.
- Nice to hear!
- Is there a reason why Bob Odenkirk is the only actor who has his character after his name in the first paragraph?
- Sorted
- "Vince Gilligan, co-creator Peter Gould" → "Vince Gilligan; co-creator Peter Gould"
- Done
- Link "fourth" to Better Call Saul (season 4).
- Done
- Per consistency with the lead, add the names of the actors who portrayed Walter White and Jesse Pinkman in parentheses.
- Link Saul Goodman.
- Add (Odenkirk) to the first mention of his character.
Cast and characters
[edit]- "recently reinstated to the New Mexico bar association, now practices" → "an attorney recently reinstated to the New Mexico bar association who now practices"
- Done
- In the caption of the second image, add a comma before "and".
- Done
- "consultant, "fixer"" → "consultant and "fixer""
- Done
- Actually, a lot of descriptions are missing "and"s between each "profession". Add them.
- Done
- Link "third season" to Better Call Saul (season 3).
- In #Recurring, is there a reason why some characters have references and others don't?
- Any characters that have references were added before the season began airing, because we needed to source for any upcoming appearances. Characters that don't are simply ones that were added to the list after the season began airing. Drovethrughosts (talk) 13:50, 8 February 2021 (UTC)
- Some characters, such as "Drama Girl" and "Sound Guy", should be in lowercase per MOS:TVCAST and some rules in WP:FILMCAST.
Production
[edit]- "the series co-creator" → "series co-creator"
- Done
- Are the last two sentences in #Development all necessary since it's already in #Broadcast? Maybe just mention that "In November 2019, AMC confirmed that the fifth season would have ten episodes and would debut on February 23, 2020".
- Done
- Is #Writing just quotes? If no more information can be found, I would merge it with #Development.
- Done
- Is the "And also" a new sentence, or a part of the one before it? Sentences shouldn't start with and.
- Done
- Since Jimmy McGill is currently linked in #Writing, I would link the rest of the characters in #Casting.
- Combine both paragraphs in #Development.
- "On what to expect in the fifth season, series co-creator Peter Gould" → "On what to expect in the fifth season, Gould"
- Due to the recent changes, the last sentence in #Development doesn't seem necessary so I would remove it.
Episodes
[edit]- Reword the sentence "Nacho reveals to Gus Lalo's plan for Domingo".
- Done
- Remove the commas after "unnerved by the offer" and "fought with".
- Done
- "DEA find the three dead" → "DEA finds the three dead"
- Done
- "Mesa Verde business" → "Mesa Verde's business"
- Done
- The description of episode 8 is 201 words, failing MOS:TVPLOT.
- Done
- "as decoy" → "as a decoy"
Broadcast
[edit]- Link Breaking Bad.
- Done
- Link AMC Networks.
Ethics Training with Kim Wexler
[edit]- Link the phase "Outstanding Short Form Comedy or Drama Series" to Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Short Form Comedy or Drama Series.
Reception
[edit]- Update Rotten Tomaotes.
- Comment: Generally website names are italicized. Do you wan them un-italicized in prose but leave them as in the cite templates because they are automatically italicized in the reference templates. Drovethrughosts (talk) 13:48, 8 February 2021 (UTC)
- The references are ok since you're using "|website=", but since the Wiki-articles aren't in italics, I suggest that the websites are un-italicized in prose.
- "The Ringer" → "The Ringer"
- See comment above. Drovethrughosts (talk) 13:48, 8 February 2021 (UTC)
- Try reducing the use of quotes per WP:RECEPTION.
- "Alan Sepinwall of Rolling Stone described her as the "MVP of Better Call Saul".[53] Brian Tallerico of Rolling Stone referred to Seehorn's work" → "Both from Rolling Stone, Alan Sepinwall described her as the "MVP of Better Call Saul",[53] and Brian Tallerico referred to Seehorn's work"
- The phrase "appeared to be "breaking bad" herself on her last scene" needs rewording.
- Combine the last two paragraphs in #Critical_response together.
- The "total (18-49)" rating for "Namaste" should be 0.8, not 0.7.
- The "DVR (18-49)" rating for "Wexler v. Goodman" should be 0.5, not 0.6.
Accolades
[edit]- Since the award nominations table is getting a lot bigger, make #Accolades its own section.
- Add a hatnote to List of awards and nominations received by Better Call Saul.
- Per consistency with other tables, and other lists such as List of awards and nominations received by Better Call Saul, link the nominees every time they are mentioned.
- The references column should be centered.
- "Better Call Saul: Ethics Training with Kim Wexler" → "Employee Training: Legal Ethics With Kim Wexler"
References
[edit]- Archive all archivable sources (I recommend using this).
- Mark references from Rolling Stone with "|url-access=limited".
- Mark references from Forbes with "|url-access=limited".
- Make sure all references have their websites linked to their Wiki-articles.
