WikiProject class rating

I question a few things in this article. One, NBA scouts did not scout high school players at that time.
It can hardly be said Wilson led his team to the state title as he had 4 points in the championship game over Evanston.
Sure, he was an emerging player and was highly recruited at the college level, but was he truly considered the preseason best in his class for 1984-1985.
Finally, he and Nick Anderson never played together. True, they were teammates for the preseason practices but never played a game together. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.146.220.2 (talk) 15:52, 6 August 2009 (UTC)
=====Basketball is more than scoring. Wilson was Simeon's lone representative on the all-tournament team. Don't be a hater. http://www.ihsa.org/archive/bkb/mm/1984baa.htm
239 Lbs?
[edit]I find it hard to believe that he carried 239 lbs on that lanky frame of his. That's more than most NBA centers weighed at the time. He had more of a Reggie Miller physique. Most sources have him listed at 185 lbs. [1] Aoa8212 (talk) 10:18, 2 November 2012 (UTC)

Section on his death needs sources and re-writing
[edit]This section of the article really needs to be re-written using reliable sources. Right now it seems as if the section is sourced almost entirely from someone's watching of the ESPN 30 for 30 film Benji, as it reports as fact and without citation statements made by people appearing in that film, and the few citations given towards the end contradict much of what is said before (i.e. it describes, as fact, that he was shot due to bumping into and then further provoking the shooter, whereas most articles and the verdict of the case describe the shooting as having been part of a robbery attempt.). Given the fact that many of these statements are contradictory to what other sources say, I think that their being stated as fact in Wikipedia's voice on this page is somewhat inappropriate without proper citations to reliable sources. - I agree with everything noted in this comment. The death section is lacking in citations. Even among sources that meet Wiki standards, there are discrepancies in the accounts depending on the particular people that were interviewed and providing accounts of what they remember happened. Aside from that, other accounts such as the fight that lead up to him striking a teacher are varying. Some accounts claimed that he had grabbed his girlfriend and was yelling at her which led to a teacher intervening. Other accounts claim that it was a fight with another student. Given that most of these stories are based on varying accounts provided by different friends and family members, which may be reluctant to provide information which may cast the subject in a negative light; I'd question the accuracy of any account used a source.
