DYK?
[edit]@Al Ameer son: Shall we nominate this for DYK? Huldra (talk) 22:55, 24 June 2015 (UTC)
- @Huldra: Already did. It's packaged with Qasim al-Ahmad. --Al Ameer (talk) 01:20, 25 June 2015 (UTC)
- @Al Ameer son: Great, I did not see that. I wonder though, should we divide it into the same sections as used in the last West Bank DYK, Burqin? Then I could add all the 1945 data, not only the population. I could add the 1961 data, too. Huldra (talk) 20:45, 25 June 2015 (UTC)
- Normally, I think any modern-era population stats should be included in a Demographics section. However, go ahead and add any other data you have for 1945 and 1961 into the "Modern era" subsection for "History". I'll organize it accordingly. --Al Ameer (talk) 21:34, 25 June 2015 (UTC)
- What about arranging it in like in Burqin, with a British Mandate era, Jordanian, and Israeli (post-1967)-sections? Huldra (talk) 21:40, 26 June 2015 (UTC)
- Actually, I don't support the set-up in Burqin because the content in each of those subsections is much too small to warrant a separate heading. The British, Jordanian and Israeli periods are all unique eras, but ultimately the volume of material should determine whether or not each of those eras gets their own section. In Burqin, for example, the Israeli and Jordanian periods only have two sentences general to the entire West Bank between them. If and when the material we have on these eras is fleshed out (i.e. a full passage or two), then I would support creating more specific subsections. Until then, I think "Modern era" or "Contemporary period" would be more suitable.--Al Ameer (talk) 23:01, 26 June 2015 (UTC)
