Pre-1912 – Worked in her father’s surveying office to learn basic drafting
June 1912 – Trained in the office of Edwin Morton Hockings, (later Hockings and Palmer), in Rockhampton
March 1916 – Applied for acceptance into Queensland Institute of Architects
October 1916 - Accepted into Queensland Institute of Architects
Late 1916 – Moved to Sydney for broader career experience and opportunity
April 1917 – Briefly worked for Sydney architects Wardell & Denning
April 1917 - Commenced working for Claude William Chambers, architect and consulting engineer.
26 June 1923 – Registered as an architect in New South Wales
January 1931 – Promoted to junior partner with Claude W Chambers, forming the new partnership, Chambers & Hutton
1931 - Joined the Society of Arts and Crafts of New South Wales
1933 – Returned to Rockhampton to care for aging parents
1936 – Opened craft studio ‘The Glory Box’ in Brisbane.
1940 – 1942 – Worked in architecture briefly for retailers Penneys Ltd
7 October 1990 – Passed away at age 97, in Indooroopilly, Brisbane
