Copyright trap hypothesis

Works "prepared by an officer or employee of the U.S. government as part of that person's official duties" are automatically in the public domain by law. Shouldn't this apply to the 1978-79 official state of Michigan map? --ElfQrin (talk) 23:52, 31 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This section claims that "some speculated that the fake towns may have been placed there as a copyright trap" and offers straightdope.com as a source. However, the source does not support this claim. The source does mention copyright traps in other maps, but it describes Beatosu and Goblu as "good-natured sabotage" and says nothing about anyone speculating they were a copyright trap. "Some speculated that..." is perfect example of weasel wording and this sentence should be removed from the article. Piriczki (talk) 14:06, 3 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Capitalization
