All the actors playing Cylons have been confirmed for the movie, except Lucy Lawless.
[edit]Rick Worthy isn't mentioned in the cast list either, does the above statement also include that he isn't in and that it's known, or is it just again his character being overlooked and left out? 137.224.230.55 (talk) 18:53, 25 August 2009 (UTC)

Cast
[edit]I've updated the article with a final cast list. Their names are in order of how their names appeared in the film. You'll notice that many actors such as Katee Sackhoff and Mary McDonnell are not present. This is because they are not in the film. I did not list the minor actors in the article, though just in case someone feels I erred, a list of the omitted cast members appears below. ALSO: While Lymari Nadal stars in this film, her name does not appear in any of the materials. It was mentioned in the film, but I didn't catch it. She played Giana in the 2003 miniseries, but I'm not entirely sure if she's playing the same character in this film. For the moment, I'm assuming she is.
- Alonso Oyarzun as Socinus
- Colin Corrigan as Alan Nowart
- Diego Diablo Del Mar as Hillard
- Bruce Dawson as Coach
- Lawrence Haegert as Wheeler
- Tommy Europe as Rally
- Maya Washington as Sue-Shaun
- Luvia Petersen as Kai
- Richard Yearwood as Marine
- Alex Ferris as Boy
- Gina Vultaggio as Jemmy

PLOT
[edit]I agree with comment below. Please don't shorten the plot. Those familiar with this series know best how convoluted it is and how much of the backstory is missing from the main series. Moreover, whoever did the summary has done an exemplary job. L.L. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.36.227.106 (talk) 00:16, 16 March 2014 (UTC)
I do not see any reason to shorten the plot. I would even add more details and flashbacks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Uscbino (talk • contribs) 21:52, 6 December 2009 (UTC)
- Some editors feel it is necessary to keep to a strict word count, usually less than 700 words, it is in the style guide somewhere. I would say writing a good article is the most important thing, but there is some need to keep sections from getting too long. In any case the plot section could probably shortened to show what plot elements are new to this film and create other sections to explain information and some of the continuity points already covered in the series (I already shortened the plot quite a bit just by pushing the episode references out of the text and into references/citatoins). -- Horkana (talk) 02:26, 4 March 2010 (UTC)
No Roslin? #3?
[edit]Is there any reliable source discussing why Mary McDonnell and Lucy Lawless don't appear in this? I guess Roslin didn't have to be in the plot, but her absence is a bit conspicuous. It would have made a lot of sense to have Cylon #3 given a sizable role. These are the most high-profile actresses in the series- did they not agree to appear? Was there not enough budget to get them? 24.60.54.68 (talk) 14:06, 2 January 2011 (UTC)

No plan
[edit]Spoiler ... but this retelling of story from the Cylons perspective reveals there was no plan. Some reviewers said as much, in their criticism of this film and I was trying to find references to those reviews I'd read. Instead I found that in 2017 Ron D. Moore eventually admitted that the Cylons had no plan: it was just a phrase he and co-producer David Eick thought sounded cool.[1] [2][3]
Anyway, found the review I was looking for "Battlestar Galactica Movie Reveals The Cylons Never Actually Had A Plan". io9., now to add it to the article. -- 109.77.201.169 (talk) 23:01, 20 December 2020 (UTC)
