[edit]Whatever negligible information there is of the author, it indicates that Dr. Gopal Singh was a poet and politician and litterateur, his Masters degree being in English and his PhD in Literature, this can further be substantiated by the book's preface [1] under the heading "By the same author" where there is a corpus of poetry and English translations of the Guru Granth Sahib and conversely translations of English works into Punjabi. He does not appear to have had educational training in history nor does he have any peer reviewed books to his name. His book that was cited here-[2] was written in 1939, making it quite dated. In all likelihood, this source does not comply with WP:HISTRS. Southasianhistorian8 (talk) 11:38, 12 March 2024 (UTC)
