I'll get to this shortly--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 19:14, 10 February 2021 (UTC)
- No DABs, external links OK
- Lieb requested reinforcements, and the 23rd Iowa Infantry Regiment and the gunboat USS Choctaw to be sent to Milliken's Bend awkward
- Does replacing "to be sent" with "were sent" make things better?
- Choctaw was an ironclad, probably worth adding a picture of her to the article
- Added that she was an ironclad and added an image
- Lexington was a timberclad gunboat
- Added
- hyphenate close quarters
- Done
- Mighty small regiments if they only totaled 1100 men!
- Yeah, it is pretty small by Union Army standards. Not unusual for, say, a collapsing Confederate army in 1865, but odd for Union units. Presumably due to recruiting practices, I guess.
- The site section seems awfully short. No park of any kind? No historical markers?--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 12:13, 18 March 2021 (UTC)
- Expanded. A historical marker at Richmond and some stuff at Vicksburg NMP, but that's it.
@Sturmvogel 66: - Replied to all points above. Hog Farm Talk 00:36, 19 March 2021 (UTC)
