There is no Battle of Kryvyi Rih in 2022

[edit]

It's difficult finding sources for something that hasn't occurred: the closest that I can find, for instance, is here on the BBC where it says "Russian forces appear to be focusing on a drive toward Kryvyi Rih". Beyond that I went through what had been written in the article, there was a lot of WP:OR. For instance here it said: "On March 18, Russian and Ukrainian soldiers were reportedly fighting in the city" the source for this was an article from 9 months ago about a Ukrainian policeman from Kryvyi Rih who was shot and killed in Eastern Ukraine. We have "On 7 March, Russian troops were fighting in Zaporizhzhia when some headed to Kryvyi Rih to encircle Zaporizhzhia" the New York Times article doesn't mention Kryvyi Rih at all. We have in the opening sentence of the lede "The Battle of Kryvyi Rih is a ongoing military engagement" source is here and states "Russian forces are ... pushing their offensive in the south around Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia and Kryvyi Rih" once again no battle. The other source from the lede is here it's a live news feed with no mention currently of a battle of Kryvyi Rih. Wiki article stated: "Many civilians fled the city" source cited mentions Kryvyi Rih once and that's in regard to its air quality. I think with that I've addressed every single source cited in the article. Essentially the article is entirely WP:OR. I'm not seeing anything written that is actually backed by the source given.
