Edit request May 2024

[edit]

I represent Bastion and know not to edit this article directly. There are a few updates I'd like to request. Can an unconnected editor please help?

1) The agency is now called just Bastion. The Collective part was removed years ago. You can see in coverage going back to 2021 that the name isn't used anymore. Can the article be renamed to Bastion (agency), to match the article?

2) With the 2021 acquisition of New Zealand's shine, Bastion is now considered the largest independent agency in Australasia, which is Australia and New Zealand and some other islands. Can this be changed in the lead? Suggested before and after text follows, with a source:

It is reportedly the largest independent marketing and communications group in Australia, and was founded in 2009 by former professional [[Australian rules football]]er [[Fergus Watts]].

This box shows the ref placement:

It is reportedly the largest independent marketing and communications group in Australia and New Zealand, and was founded in 2009 by former professional Australian rules footballer Fergus Watts.[4][1][2]

3) Could you add a company acquisition chronologically after the first paragraph of the history section?:

In 2010, the business acquired PR Agency Undertow Media.[5]

4) The location information in the operations section is out of date. Could you replace the second paragraph as follows. Note that I'm purposely phrasing the location information to use the company contact page as a source, to simplify the sourcing challenge:

The company's global headquarters is in the Melbourne, Australia suburb of Richmond, Victoria, with additional offices in Sydney, Canberra, and Queensland. With the recent acquisition of Shine, they have expanded into New Zealand with offices in Auckland and Wellington.
+
The company's global headquarters is in the Melbourne, Australia suburb of Richmond Cremorne, Victoria, and the company lists additional offices in Sydney, Canberra, Brisbane, Auckland, Los Angeles, Orange County, CA, and New York City.

Text showing sources:

The company's global headquarters is in the Melbourne, Australia suburb of Richmond Cremorne, Victoria,[9] and the company lists additional offices in Sydney, Canberra, Brisbane, Auckland, Los Angeles, Orange County, CA, and New York City.[10]

Edit request - July 2024

[edit]

Hi - I'm back with a few more edit requests to update the article and make it more encyclopedic.

  • Please correct the url in the infobox and at the bottom. Here's the code in box format:
    |homepage = [https://bastionagency.com bastionagency.com]
    ==External links==*{{official website|https://bastionagency.com}}
*The history paragraph that starts out "In May 2018" needs a period at the end.
*Please add the following text chronologically in the history section:
In October 2020, the company renamed its Bastion China operations as Bastion Asia.[1]
  • Please update the second paragraph of the operations section to add our offices in Gold Coast and Wellington. The source doesn't need to change.
and the company lists additional offices in Sydney, Canberra, Brisbane, Auckland, Los Angeles, Orange County, CA, and New York City.

  • With our recent expansion into New Zealand, and previous expansion into the US, we'd like to show which of our subdivisions operate in which countries. This can be accomplished by changing the header of the third operations section, and by resorting the agencies and restructuring the text. Here's the Textdiff for a revised listing of subdivisions, some with better sources, and rewritten to be less promotional. The US only has two divisions so that is corrected. Bastion Design is only a service offering and not a standalone agency, so it can be removed. Unsourced info shouldn't be in the article anyway, as I understand the guidelines. doesn't exist anymore. I can't source that we discontinued Bastion Rare and Bastion Asia, so while they are in the history section, they are not in the operations section. Sources are all below, and visible in the raw syntax.
