Brian Baumgartner's 14 shots in a row during the filming

[edit]

Can someone clarify the reference for the statement, "Although only a few made the final cut, Brian Baumgartner actually made fourteen shots in a row during the filming of Kevin's scene on the court after the game." I'd love to see the original source. Link is just to Universal Studios. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Acham (talkcontribs) 16:22, 29 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It's stated on the Commentary Track of the episode that accompanies the first season DVD box set. If I remember correctly, Brian had been saying to the crew how good he was at basketball, but no one believed him. He just picked up the ball one day and started draining shots, a few of which we see in the episode. Mastrchf (t/c) 16:58, 29 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:TheOffice(US)1-05.jpg

[edit]

Image:TheOffice(US)1-05.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Will review this one soon (remember it being an enjoyable episode). Ruby 2010/2013 05:29, 1 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Article is stable, no deadlinks or DABS that need fixing
  • Can probably cut "Michael eventually tells the office that they don't have to come in on Saturday either." out of the lead (too much detail)
  • "where Michael takes about" Talks?
  • The first paragraph of the plot section could do with some rewriting (not a fan of all the parenthesizes)
  • Some tense issues in that section (Michael would food around -> Michael fools around) for instance. Bring it all to present tense
  • No need to say Greg Daniels every time you mention him (Daniels is sufficient). Same for other actors (Krasinski especially)
  • ____ later ____ - A lot of repetition in the production's first and third paragraphs
  • "that the American version of The Office" Italicize The Office
  • The inspiration was a deleted scene? (not a delete scene)
  • "talks about a pick-up basketball game" What is a pick-up basketball game? I'm not sure if a word is missing, or if my confusion is stemming from my general ignorance of the sport
  • Typo: "several of their others pilots"
  • "Donald Lee Harris designed the warehouse set, a set Krasinski described" -> "Donald Lee Harris designed the warehouse set, which Krasinski described"
  • Wikilink hockey
  • The reviews section could definitely use some expanding; either flesh out what the reviewers said or find a few others
  • Typos: "retained 92% or its lead-in audience." and "gave the episode and 7.5 out of 10"
  • Use consistent date formatting for refs

Otherwise the article looks good. Very nice use of the audio commentaries. Will place the article on hold for seven days. Thanks, Ruby 2010/2013 19:26, 2 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for reviewing this, and thanks for the kind words. I believe I've addressed all the issues.--Gen. Quon (talk) 20:28, 2 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Your changes look great. Fantastic job improving the article from an ugly stub into its current state. I'm glad the series' older articles are getting some love; I'd like to improve more season three episodes when I have time. Pass for GA! Ruby 2010/2013 03:38, 3 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
