Moving discussion from @EddieDean19's talk pageto here.
EddieDean19 stated the following in response to a {{uw-blar}} message:
@Voorts Almost every high school in the country has a Wikipedia page. Not sure why this one in particular is less notable than any other. The article has sources. They are from the local newspaper in the town where the school is located. You're going to have to be way more specific about your issues with the page because condescending links to Wikipedia-for-Dummies ain't it. EddieDean19 (talk) 23:54, 27 January 2024 (UTC)
My response is as follows:
I left you a notice using {{uw-blar}}, which is best practice when blanking and redirecting an article. I left a reason in my edit summary, as follows: This high school lacks notability. I could not find significant coverage in |secondary, reliable sources, just trivial mentions in local newspapers.
.
Regarding your claim that [a]lmost every high school in the country has a Wikipedia page
, that is not true and also contrary to consensus, which is that high schools are not inherently notable. voorts (talk/contributions) 00:03, 28 January 2024 (UTC)
- Since you've reverted, I'm going to nominate this for articles for deletion and I hope we can continue the discussion there. voorts (talk/contributions) 00:03, 28 January 2024 (UTC)
