Plotlines included here

[edit]

Is there any good reason why the entire plots of the 'Bambi' and 'Bambi II' movies are included here in the Bambi (character) article? To avoid duplication, these should be placed in the articles for those movies, then links provided here. This article should describe the character only. I see a lot of work went into this, any comments before I start moving stuff around? --Bridgecross 17:11, 29 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Addendum; after reviewing the plotlines in the articles for the specific films 'Bambi' and 'Bambi II' I don't see any need to merge the text. The plotlines in those articles are more concise and encyclopedic, while these seem to be nearly scene-for-scene descriptions. Again, I'm going to wait for comments before reverting. --Bridgecross 17:15, 29 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
It seems to be basic fare for character articles to include the plots of the media they were in, but in a wording that focuses on the character. Although the plot summaries in this article could use shortening. Blue Phoenix 21:11, 7 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It may be basic fare but it's not good Wikipedia style Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style_(writing_about_fiction). A movie page should not just reiterate the plot (Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information), and a page for just one character should especially not recap the entire plot. --Bridgecross 20:31, 9 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I think the reason the recaps here are the way they are, is because Bambi is the main character and present in nearly every scene of the movie. Therefore, an outline of his role in the movie is tantamount to a recap of almost, if not all of, the movie. Whatever you decide on this matter, I am thankful that you have seen fit to wait until everyone has had their say. --Ben 10 15:43, 16 January 2008 (UTC)and a little sumary is that it is not posable for about 6-8 bullets to case a fire[reply]

The list of Bambi's Children consisting of Geno, Gurri, and Ferto, should be changed to Geno, Gurri, Ferto, Membo and Nello (Adopted sons). ECarlisle2 (talk) 23:16, 16 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Bambi: The Reckoning (2025)

[edit]

On November 21, 2022, a live-action horror film titled Bambi: The Reckoning was announced to be in development by ITN Studios and Jagged Edge Productions with Scott Jeffrey directing and writing, and Rhys Frake-Waterfield serving as a producer.[1] The film will be about Bambi getting revenge after the death of his mother.[2] Jeffrey described the film as "an incredibly dark retelling of the 1928 story we all know and love. Finding inspiration from the design used in Netflix's The Ritual, Bambi will be a vicious killing machine that lurks in the wilderness."[3] From teaser footage and pre-release interviews, Bambi is set to essentially be Cujo, with shades of Moder from The Ritual[4]. 2601:401:4300:3720:3221:28D:4ACC:9229 (talk) 20:01, 28 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
