A fact from Baillieu Myer appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 11 February 2022 (check views). The text of the entry was as follows:
Did you know... that Baillieu Myer and his siblings were born in California because their father's prior divorce was not recognised under Australian law?
@All Hallow's Wraith: Regarding your removal of the Ken Myer link, from what I can tell Sidney and Merlyn Myer had one son named Ken who was the brother of Bails. The Ken Myer article seems to indicate that this was the person in question. Am I missing something? DanCherek (talk) 18:15, 25 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

... that Baillieu Myer and his siblings were born in California because their father's prior divorce was not recognised under Australian law? Source: "for twenty-five years [Ken Myer] was ignorant of why he and his siblings were all born in California and not in Australia. [...] 'the American divorce was not recognised ... we would have been regarded as illegitimate if we had been resident in Australia'." [1]
Overall: Nice, well-written article and an interesting hook. Article was previously featured in the "In the news" section, but only as a link under "recent deaths" so is still eligible for DYK. -- Lear'sFool02:18, 29 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
