Removal of sourced content

[edit]

I have twice reverted the removal of sourced content, and of references, by Meral Ekincioglu2023 (talk · contribs), and have therefore started a discussion here for this so editors can give their views. Tacyarg (talk) 14:17, 14 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Who is your editor to write this article on Ayla Karacabey?
I am the first scholar to study on Ayla Karacabey with Massachusetts Institute of Technology for 24 months.
If Wikipedia needs an article on Ayla Karacabey, as the first scholar to uncover her architecture, i can write it and give all scientific references.
Your editor on Ayla Karacabey can write article on his / her research studies. Before writing an article on someone else scientific research, your editor should contact its scientific researchers.
Perhaps, I should contact Massachusetts Institute of Technology? Meral Ekincioglu2023 (talk) 14:31, 14 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, you can see the original editor if you look at the article's history. Click on View history on the main page of the article (not on this Talk page), and scroll to the bottom of the list of edits. For your other comments, you might find WP:EXPERT useful. Tacyarg (talk) 14:41, 14 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Your recent edits have added unsourced content about yourself to the article. This appears to be an effort to promote yourself and your own work. You're already appropriately credited in the references section; please don't try to refocus the article to be about yourself. pburka (talk) 16:57, 14 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You had published an article on my own scientific research project with Massachusetts Institute of Technology's academic sponsorship, 24 months. I have seen it by chance. Now, you have been writing that " you promote yourself and your own work". This is totally unacceptable and never ethic. I have clearly expressed all things in my earlier messages, read them, please. Meral Ekincioglu2023 (talk) 18:14, 14 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Are you claiming an exclusive license to write about Ayla Karacabey? That's very bold! Academic progress is based on researchers building upon each others work. They have an obligation to acknowledge and appropriately cite that work, which has been done here. You don't own this topic. pburka (talk) 18:40, 14 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You are not an authority on Ayla Karacabey. Are you a scientific jury or scientific editorial board on Ayla Karacabey? Read all my earlier responses. (Wikipedia causes several conflicts in scientific studies and teaching, learning as well.). You can remove Ayla Karacabey as well. There are scientific presentations and conference papers on her. There is no need wikipedia article on her. Should I contact Massachusetts Institute of Technology?! What a kind of internet resource this? Meral Ekincioglu2023 (talk) 20:29, 14 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
That's not how this project works. Please review WP:EXPERT and understand that Wikipedia is the free encyclopedia that anyone can edit. As an expert you're welcome to collaborate with everyone else here, but your proprietary attitude and empty threats are unwelcome. Do you think the president of MIT has authority over how this volunteer project operates? Please go ahead and contact her. pburka (talk) 20:43, 14 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
