"the protesters started throwing stones at IDF soldiers"

[edit]

The current version of this article contains this phrase:

the protesters started throwing stones at IDF soldiers

In an effort to be as encyclopedic as possible, shouldn't we clarify whether it was a few of the protesters, some of the protesters, many of the protesters, or all of the protesters, as well as whether Eygi was one of the protesters throwing stones? 98.123.38.211 (talk) 18:07, 7 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Add source: Seattle Times & Add Graduation Year: 2024

[edit]

I suggest adding this article from the Seattle Times as she is from Seattle: https://www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news/american-woman-killed-at-west-bank-protest-was-uw-grad-professor-says/ I also suggest in "Early Life" instead of "Later" it could be "In 2024, she graduated from the University of Washington with a major in psychology and a minor in Middle Eastern Languages and Cultures." This information is found in the Seattle Times source. Jdftba (talk) 17:37, 8 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Does this need a wiki page?

[edit]

Respectfully, any murder is a tragedy, but do all murder victims deserve Wikipedia pages? This page should probably be merged into the Israel-Hamas war article under the existing 'Casualties' section- there's an optic here that because she was American, she deserves a wiki page which is not equity. Again, as respectfully as possible, there is not enough here to warrant a page of their own otherwise we're in a situation where being murdered is its own qualifier for a wiki page. Nearly 2000 murders a day, on Earth- we'll run out pretty fast. 31.49.204.126 (talk) 13:17, 10 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

"The murder of an American is no more or less tragic than the murder of any other human being. But American deaths typically receive outsize attention from politicians and the press. In other circumstances, you’d expect the execution of a peaceful American protester to draw outrage from the US president. Yet, as of this writing, Biden has made only the vaguest, factually incoherent comments about Eygi’s killing. Vice President Kamala Harris has said nothing at all. Nor has either of them contacted Eygi’s family. In fact, it took four days for a senior Biden administration official to offer any condemnation of her death." www.thenation.com, 11 Sept. 2024 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wikifizierung (talkcontribs) 23:28, 11 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

She was with terrorist when she was killed. She was not a peace activist. No Hamas supporter is.167.224.120.146 (talk) 18:26, 10 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
