"Subsidiaries" section

[edit]

Would someone kindly add a new "Subsidiaries" section to the article with subsections for FL Technics and Baltic Ground Services (with content added from the drafts for the two companies). Both subjects failed AfC submissions as reviewers believe that not enough content exists for them to merit their own articles, so for now it would be best to have the merged to the Avia Solutions Group article.   Unable to implement

  1. The information found within the Baltic Ground Services draft was found by K.e.coffman to contain advertising-like material. That same restriction which prevents it from being created under AFC also prevents it from being added as content, per WP:NOTADVERTISING.
  2. The information found under FL Technics was deemed by Robert McClenon as being possibly allowed for merging into the Avia Solutions Group article. For that to occur, a verbatim description of the text to be added needs to be proposed here on the talk page. Additionally, of the 31 references supplied in the FL Technics draft, an editor at the TeaHouse noted the ones I did check are not to "reliable independent published sources with in-depth discussion of the subject". If you have found any such sources, I suggest you make them easier for a reviewer to find by removing most of the others. While not strictly being a content restriction, the suggestion found there regarding reference accessibility seems to be a prudent one for our purposes here.

When ready to proceed with the requested information, please open a new {{request edit}} template at your earliest convenience. Regards,  Spintendo  09:12, 13 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

This appears to be a case that illustrates a problematic side effect of the rules on paid editing. Since paid editors are prohibited from directly editing an article in which they have a conflict of interest, they simply throw in a generalized edit request that says essentially, "We are not allowed to do this, but we have a right to have it done for us. You do it for us." Volunteer editors have every right to just say no, that there are limits to how much assistance they will give paid editors. FL Technics history updates.

[edit]

Ahunt, as much as I value your contribution to the Wikipedia, the edits you make on FL Technics Wikipedia article are not valid. The company did expand by opening new hangars how is that a promotion? The company also created a training division which is an integral part of the company. Other companies like Boeing, Airbus in their wiki articles are allowed to disclose such information, whereas FL Technics can only disclose the date it was founded. Why 2011 entry about Storm Aviation acquisition is okay and the one from 2020 about Flash Line Maintenance once is not okay anymore? I would kindly ask you to explain or rather write the history as you see fit. The explanation of "STILL A LOT OF WP:SPAM; WP:TRIVIA and WP:PROMOTION" does not give clear indication where the problem lies, because Storm Aviation and Flash Line maintenance acquisitions are worded in the same way, but one is not accepted, although other one is...— Preceding unsigned comment added by Spontiac (talkcontribs) 07:00, 29 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

New Draft for article

[edit]

Hi, My name is Agne, and I work for Avia Solutions Group. The current article appears to have been translated and is somewhat difficult to read. I have gone through existing reliable sourcing and created an alternative draft that focuses on the company's history and business model. The new draft is clearer and more easily understandable. You can see it here. I propose that the existing page be replaced with this new version. I am aware of Wikipedia policies for COI editors, and I am excited to work together with the community to improve this entry moving forward. Please let me know if I can be of further assistance. Thank you.Agne for ASG (talk) 13:34, 4 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Agne for ASG Hello. A very quick review suggests we should not do a full replacement, since your new version lacks for example the infobox. Some of your version elements are certainly better (prehistory??), that said should be really remove references to 2005? I integrated the requested content, but kept the existing history. I also added some better sources, and kept and expanded the subsidiaries section. STEMinfo (talk) 22:47, 29 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi STEMinfo. Thanks for implementing the draft, and also adding a few updates to the article. I appreciate it. All the best, Agne for ASG (talk) 06:16, 3 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

History update

[edit]

Hello. Could you kindly add the following short paragraph to the end of the History section as an update to that section.

In 2024, ASG announced plans to expand to the United States, partnering with Impact Investments, an investment firm headed by former US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. In addition to financial support, the firm will advise on further strategic development in the US.[1]
