Image copyright problem with Image:RAAF Badge.gif
[edit]The image Image:RAAF Badge.gif is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
- That this article is linked to from the image description page.

[edit]Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just modified one external link on Australian royal symbols. Please take a moment to review my edit. If you have any questions, or need the bot to ignore the links, or the page altogether, please visit this simple FaQ for additional information. I made the following changes:
- Added archive https://web.archive.org/web/20080904032658/http://www.aph.gov.au:80/SEnate/general/constitution/schedule.htm to http://www.aph.gov.au/senate/general/constitution/schedule.htm
When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true or failed to let others know (documentation at {{Sourcecheck}}
).

Article existence / scope
[edit]This article is currently a hodgepodge of several different topics. Images of the sovereign, postage stamps, place names, songs, royal visits, and military honours are not "symbols". Flags and coats of arms (anything heraldic) are symbols. Compare this article with Canadian royal symbols, which deals (mostly) with symbols specific to the Canadian monarchy. On the face of it Australia seems to have less uniquely Australian royal symbols compared with Canada, and arguably not enough for a separate article. This article as it currently stands duplicates much of the content at Monarchy of Australia and I would probably suggest merging it into that article. Note that there is no equivalent British royal symbols article (or for any other Commonwealth realms) and there does not seem to be any need for it. - In fact, looking at the edit history and the page views, there doesn't appear to be much interest in this article from either editors or readers. It averages six views per day [1] and there was no increase even during the change of prime minister in August (during which most Australian politics/constitutional related articles saw a dramatic spike). I would definitely suggest merging it into the main monarchy article. Ivar the Boneful (talk) 15:46, 8 November 2018 (UTC)
Anyone opposed? If not I'll carry out the merge. Ivar the Boneful (talk) 09:00, 30 December 2018 (UTC)
