Can't find anything on Flickr. Richard001 (talk) 01:28, 10 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hardly surprising. The species is restricted to two islands that are not visited by tourists, in fact generally not visited at all. The best bet would be to contact the Department of Conservation, which has a few images taken of an individual kept at Mt Bruce 20 years ago (the only photos of this species I have ever seen). I pretty much leave this note on all pages even if it's very unlikely there'll be one, just so that I (and perhaps others) know I've checked and where I'm up to. Can you find a picture of one on the internet? If you can provide a link I'll see if I can track down the copyright holder. Richard001 (talk) 02:55, 18 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I found and added an illustration from a journal article form when it was assumed extinct. FunkMonk (talk) 21:53, 15 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Name?

[edit]

Shouldn't this be Auckland Island rail? That's the name all the sources use. Giantflightlessbirds (talk) 08:11, 29 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
