Reverts
[edit]Two attempted edits have been reverted, one a change to a sentence in the lead, the other a category refinement. I struggle to see how the latter could be in any way contentious and hope that this was reverted simply because it was in the same edit as the tweak to the lead.
The edit to the lead changed the current sentence 'is a proposed redevelopment strategy for the North West of England and, at £50 billion, is the most expensive development project in UK history' to 'is a proposed redevelopment strategy for the North West of England and, with an estimated cost of £50 billion, is the largest development project in the history of the UK'.
In my view the changes to the sentence were an improvement, and the current wording 'at £50 billion' reads rather abruptly and inelegantly. I am quite open to discussing any other formulations apart from the sentence which was reverted, but do feel that at present the sentence in question does not work as it should.Rangoon11 (talk) 15:42, 1 October 2011 (UTC)
- Your view is wrong. "With" is never a good linking word. Malleus Fatuorum 15:54, 1 October 2011 (UTC)
- What a terse, uncivil and unconstructive response, which completely fails to address what I have said above. Rangoon11 (talk) 17:08, 1 October 2011 (UTC)
- Your view is still wrong. Malleus Fatuorum 19:22, 1 October 2011 (UTC)
- Which one? My view that there was any point attempting discussion on this Talk page certainly seems to have been.Rangoon11 (talk) 19:35, 1 October 2011 (UTC)

[edit]Would it be possible to drop "(North West England)" from the title of the article? This is surely the only Atlantic Gateway article on Wikipedia? 2.26.20.133 (talk) 12:36, 27 May 2012 (UTC)
