details
[edit]Given that it is such an iconic image I would think that it merits far more information. Particularly - are there any details regarding its unfinished status? Issues with the subject? The artist? Surely, there must be some fascinating - but still encyclopedic - information connected with this artwork. PurpleChez (talk) 17:40, 3 December 2019 (UTC)
- Saw this in person recently, and there is a similar unfinished Stuart portrait of Martha Washington hung two or three frames away. Information here as well as here. Could be a mention or image of this that could be added to the page, which seems to fill the spirit of your request. Randy Kryn (talk) 18:25, 3 December 2019 (UTC)
why was it not completed
[edit]The article lacks an answer to the obvious question: why is the painting incomplete? 2A02:810D:15C0:2A8:6A99:BF6B:214C:D8C4 (talk) 14:32, 21 September 2022 (UTC)
Age of Washington
[edit]Washington is described as being 64 and 65 at the time at different points on this page. Which was it? -- User:Khajidha (talk) (contributions) 16:38, 19 February 2024 (UTC)
