General: Article is new enough and long enough

Hook eligibility:

  • Cited: Yes
  • Interesting: No - vague
QPQ: None required.

Overall: @Luxtaythe2nd: Good article. My main problem is that seems vague. "most of the money he'd stolen" what stolen money? That isn't elaborated on is kind of confusing. Onegreatjoke (talk) 02:47, 8 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • @Onegreatjoke: Would it be alright to have something like "most of the bank money he'd stolen" or "all of the bank money he'd stolen"? "All of the bank money he'd stolen" is both very interesting and factual in my opinion, since the article itself states "He stole 15920 zł (US$5036.99) in total, with only 2550 zł (US$806.8) being returned from the last robbery, during which he was stopped by police. He said that he spent the rest of the money on 'taxis, food and casinos'[.]" Since the stealing of those last 2550 zł was stopped while it was happening, I think that the latter option would satisfy both your needs of interestingness and elaboration on what money he'd stolen. • @Luxtaythe2nd: I recall surgeons tried to save Adamowicz through a long surgery after the attck but failed. Can you add this info to the article with a source? I mean, Adamowicz didn't die immediately. BorgQueen (talk) 13:09, 8 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Added an alternative to the previous hook I suggested. Luxtay the IInd (talketh to me) 09:54, 13 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Overall: ALT1 is fine. Good to go. BorgQueen (talk) 13:46, 13 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • @Luxtaythe2nd, Onegreatjoke, and BorgQueen: I don't think I approve of ALT1 – given that the robbery came five-plus years before the assassination, this hook isn't really about the assassination at all. If Stefan Wilmont is notable, this would be a great hook about him, but if the article scope is about the assassination, then we should be sticking to that. Can another hook be found? theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (she/her) 09:22, 24 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
    • Actually I agree with you. I'll wait for the nominator's suggestions. BorgQueen (talk) 09:27, 24 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
    • @Theleekycauldron: I think that there's some hookworthy material in the Assassination section itself, and the only reason that I picked the "taxis, food and a casino" part is because I had just finished editing the section that is in when I nominated the article and naturally had a bias towards that section. If ALT1 can't go through, then I suggest this alternative:

... that after a stabbing attack against Paweł Adamowicz, the Gdańsk mayor, at least 41 blood packets were used in an unsuccessful attempt to save him? Source: [2] "Wiadomo, że operacja trwała pięć godzin. - Przetoczyliśmy 41 jednostek krwi. Urazy były bardzo ciężkie; poważna rana serca, rana przepony, jamy brzusznej. O wszystkim zadecydują najbliższe godziny - przekazał lekarz."
