Pashtu
[edit]Before I edited the mistake, this article said that the "local dialect", Pashtu, was a derivative of Arabic. This is ridiculously incorrect. Pashtu is a distinct Indo-European/Iranian language with several major dialects of its own. It has some similar words to Arabic due to the various influences of Islamic, Arabic, and Persian empires, but it is no way a derivative of Arabic. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Theboondocksaint (talk • contribs) 21:59, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
Al-Afghani
[edit]Quote: "...Asadabad is the birth place of Jamal-al-Din Afghani....". WRONG, even if he is named Afghani, was born in Asadabad, Iran—Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.19.49.91 (talk • contribs) 13:11, 12 October 2008
- I don't have an opinion either way, but I clarified the language. // Chris (complaints)•(contribs) 21:26, 12 October 2008 (UTC)

Contradictory sentences
[edit]"On 20 April 1991, the marketplace of Asadabad was hit by two Scud missiles, that killed 300 and wounded 500 inhabitants. Though the exact toll is unknown, these attacks resulted in heavy civilian casualties."
Um ... which of these sentences is right? Either we know the death toll or we don't. I looked at the source, which is the page with the paper abstract on it, and it doesn't help. Daniel Case (talk) 03:16, 23 January 2019 (UTC)
