Bisgeier
[edit]It was Bisguier's father Jesse, not Arthur Bisguier himself, who changed the spelling of his last name. For the purpose of a biographical article about Arthur, it is sufficient that we mention this name change in the body of the article. It does not need to be mentioned in the lead paragraphs, because the lead paragraphs don't (and shouldn't) mention his father. The old name doesn't have to be boldface in the body of the article, and shouldn't be boldface, because it was not Arthur's own name. The comparison with Howard Kaylan is not apt, because Kaylan's own name was changed. Bruce leverett (talk) 04:10, 31 October 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for fixing that. I opposed it for a while, but eventually got tired of fighting with stupid. Quale (talk) 09:34, 31 October 2023 (UTC)
