[edit]This article is a paean to Mayor Agnos, apparently written by a liberal and taking no account of his failings. I'd welcome the input from some (other) native San Franciscans to add perspective.
This article is rather poorly written and could use extensive editing. The section "Mayor of San Francisco" has zero citations and goes over the same ideas twice in one paragraph. And I agree that this article is more cheerleading for Agnos than an honest evaluation of his career -- how many times do we need to be told that Agnos rode in the Gay Pride Parade or signed a domestic partner bill? This is a textbook case of Wikipedia at its worst.
Agree with the two sentiments above. This article is virtually worthless because of its poor quality of writing (note how many paragraphs begin with the word "Agnos") and the hagiographic nature of the recounting of his career. It makes one wonder how in the world Agnos could have lost his reelection campaign for mayor -- did outreach to gays and tearing down overpass roads really lead 51% of the city votes to oppose him? This is indeed Wikipedia at its worst, and it would probably be best if this entire entry was junked and started from scratch by someone who isn't such a fan of Agnos. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 47.153.26.8 (talk) 06:11, 10 July 2019 (UTC)
