Cottage

If it's the 1970s cottage that has its own subsection it'd be good to have it and make that clear, but if it's not I think it's a bit confusing. The Drover's Wife (talk) 08:52, 23 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I'm thought the house in the photos is much older that the 1970s. These heritage assessments are often sloppy with their dates, but it does raise doubts about its significance.--Grahame (talk) 02:40, 25 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Marriage of William Ryrie

This article (at 23 March 2021) says that William Ryrie "travelled to Scotland where he married his step-mother's sister Marianne Cassels." Contemporary sources (such as https://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/228062657) just say that the wedding took place at "Arnprior". That leaves it open to being the Arnprior in Scotland or the Ryries' estate Arnprior, at Larbert NSW. They were married by "Rev. Mr.Eipper." Rev. Mr. Eipper was a German missionary who had been accepted as a Presbyterian minister. He was in Australia not Scotland. (https://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/228141497). So, that puts it beyond doubt to me that it was Arnprior, Larbert, NSW that was the venue of the wedding, not Arnprior in Scotland.
