Marital status
[edit]His status isn't known just yet but we know he brought up Ronnie and Roxy on his own (as seen here), so it seems likely that he's divorced (possibly widowed??). anemone│projectors 14:11, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
- He should be separated now. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Spock a (talk • contribs) 10:55, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
Personality
[edit]Good quote from Lamb: http://www.whatsontv.co.uk/soaps/eastenders/interviews/a-quick-chat-with-larry-lamb/6241 AnemoneProjectors (talk) 20:23, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
- EastEnders star Larry Lamb on why his father Ronald is the inspiration for Archie Mitchell. Something for updating the article. AnemoneProjectors (talk) 14:35, 16 December 2009 (UTC)
Ireland or Australia?
[edit]I'm always reverting changes of Ireland to Australia, but which one is actually correct? Would like to put an end to the edit war. AnemoneProjectors (talk) 20:10, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
- The same is happening on Glenda's article. Please can someone confirm which it is? Urgently! Thanks! AnemoneProjectors (talk) 21:15, 21 October 2009 (UTC)
- S'ok, I found a source for Australia. AnemoneProjectors (talk) 21:16, 21 October 2009 (UTC)
Development
[edit]The development section needs to be updated desperately, and here are a few sources from Digital Spy to help:
- Larry Lamb (Archie Mitchell, 'EastEnders')
- Larry Lamb on Archie, the live ep and future projects!
- Picture: Archie Mitchell's 'EastEnders' death
- Larry Lamb praises Archie's 'Enders exit
AnemoneProjectors (talk) 18:36, 24 December 2009 (UTC)
- Did anyone see The Sins of Archie Mitchell on BBC Three? It had lots of background information that can be added, going from Lamb's casting to his final episode. The only thing I can remember is that they said he appeared in 158 episodes. AnemoneProjectors (talk) 01:08, 27 December 2009 (UTC)
Birthdate?
[edit]Is there actually a source for his birthdate? As I don't remember him clebrating any type of birthday on the show. Alex250P (talk) 19:29, 3 January 2010 (UTC)
- The birthdate was added in the article after he would have celebrated it on-screen if it was in March. If it had been on-screen, we would have added it at the time. I can find no source for it, but perhaps there was some mention in a later episode. I suggest commenting it out and find out if it can be confirmed. AnemoneProjectors (talk) 19:48, 3 January 2010 (UTC)
- I found the edit where it was added. [1] I think we should remove it. AnemoneProjectors (talk) 20:09, 3 January 2010 (UTC)
I agree, there is no source. Maybe around his funeral or will reading however it may be revealed? Alex250P (talk) 00:22, 5 January 2010 (UTC)
- Someone readded it and I'm asked them how they know but they haven't answered yet. It must have come from somewhere, right? AnemoneProjectors (talk) 00:38, 5 January 2010 (UTC)
Hmm, I have a feeling that somebody must have added it for 'fun' and it's been left unnoticed for so long people must just assume it is correct? Not bragging, but I don't remember anything about him celebrating a birthday especially since the episodes around March 16th were quite prominent Archie/Peggy episodes (lead up to wedding etc.) and there is no available source. Alex250P (talk) 00:44, 5 January 2010 (UTC)
Cancer
[edit]Since Archie had cancer, it needs to be said that he told Peggy this and she didn't believe him. I don't know where it fits into the storyline though. Can anyone help? AnemoneProjectors (talk) 00:15, 27 January 2010 (UTC)
He told her he had had cancer previously when she first met him in July 2008 then when they began an 'affair' around October-ish, that is when he told her he was dying of cancer again. Alex250P (talk) 01:38, 27 January 2010 (UTC)
Video game
[edit]There is a new video game intitled... Archie Mitchell whodunnit the video game. Should it be merged or seperate to this article? A100128-000237 (talk) 15:31, 14 February 2010 (UTC)
- Is it notable? I can't find any reference to it on Google. AnemoneProjectors (talk) 18:07, 14 February 2010 (UTC)
Father's name
[edit]I'm sure his father's name is Robert. In an episode a while back Phil showed Ben a family tree and Eric's father was called Robert. Why is it Philip here? SamLaws81101 (talk) 13:24, 22 January 2017 (UTC)
Middle name
[edit]Archie's middle name (Lionel) is mentioned in the show and this it should be included here, which I have now done.
