As a newbie I am trying to insert a reference to AM's birth record. My attempt to use the same format as for a book reference has not had the desired effect. How should such a reference be made ?

You corrected because it was in the improper position.--Naohiro19(Talk Page/Contributions) 10:05, 27 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I do not understand the comments made by Naohiro19. Please be more explicit. 10:25, 28 January 2007 (UTC)

Who introduced citrus to Hawai'i? And where?

[edit]

It would be forty years before another European, fellow Scotsman David Douglas, would reach the summit on 29 January 1834.[2] He dropped off citrus fruit seeds that had been picked up in South Africa, so that future ships might be able to replenish their stocks at the Hawaiian islands.[4]

This is confusing. Was it Douglas who dropped off the citrus fruit seeds, or Menzies? And why drop them off at the summit of Mauna Loa? (At least, the way the text reads, it implies that they were dropped off there). A long way to climb just to eat an lemon! Felsenst (talk) 20:56, 9 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
