Am making edits to this page, with the idea of making the prose clearer & making the synopsis clearer through added detail, and through amplifying the sequence of on-stage events. Also a few changes for accuracy (e.g. Arabella is the 6th operatic Strauss-Hofmannsthal collaboration, not counting revisions, but they also collaborated on other projects).Herbivore (talk) 04:56, 31 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Article ticks all the boxes, though it's a long time since the global reputation of a score was made at the Met. In this case, it was probably established as a central Strauss opera by the singing of Lisa Della Casa and Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau in the main roles in the late fifties at Salzburg and more widely in Europe in the 1960s. There is currently an Act II Youtube clip from Salzburg in 1958 under Keilberth which can be led as evidence. Whatever the Wikipedia conventions, something must be awry if it wasn't possible even to mention their names.94.192.64.37 (talk) 17:37, 5 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
