Title

[edit]

This is a questionable split and WP:POINTy title given recent RMs. Srnec (talk) 15:36, 1 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Srnec: Have you checked the page history? The length is already almost double the length of the material copied from the parent, and I have only expanded the "first invasion" section from the numerous child articles. It will expand by the same again if not more when material is incorporated from the child articles for the second invasion. If you see the relevant campaign box, almost every other subdivision of the wider conquest has its own child article, so the Mesopotamia child article was conspicuously absent, particularly given that this portion of the wider conquest has the greatest number of individual battle child articles. In sum, I don't think this is a questionable split in the slightest. Iskandar323 (talk) 15:59, 1 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Article name

[edit]

Why is this article named Arab conquest of Mesopotamia and not Islamic conquest of Mesopotamia like the respective articles about Spain and Iran?

Because it's the most prevalent term for it, and that Iran article shouldn't be where it is either. Iskandar323 (talk) 17:45, 6 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
