Scope of the article
[edit]It seems odd to have an article on "Arab" archery that includes pre-Arab practices in Northern Africa. There is also nothing very distinctive about the thumb draw, probably derived from Turkish or other Central Asian ethnicities well afer the battle of Manzikert.
