Proposed move
[edit]Shouldn't this be titled Aquaman (TV series), since the pilot trailer labeld the show's title as Aquaman and not Mercy Reef. Even the website stated that the title appeared to have changed from Mercy Reef to just Aquaman. Bignole 17:01, 18 July 2006 (UTC)
Seeing as it was never picked up, should it be referred to as a Tv series at all? 216.114.204.23 23:31, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
That's correct, as it was only a pilot it shouldn't be Aquaman (TV series), but Aquaman (TV program) as specified in Wikipedia:Naming conventions (television) guidelines; any shows that are "non-episodic" are disambiguated as (TV program)/(TV programme),unless they're TV movies which should have (film) after the title. All of these only apply if there is more than one article with the same name though. I've changed the title to the more appropriate Aquaman (TV program). Psychonaut3000 02:11, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

A.C.
[edit]This article describes the main character as "A.C." long before it ever gives his full name... -- nae'blis 17:59, 6 August 2006 (UTC)
Black Manta
[edit]I dont understand what this triva exactly means [he "Aqua-Embargo" that made Black Manta unavailable for the Justice League Unlimited animated series (being "changed" into Devil Ray) could mean that Black Manta would have appeared in the series.] ? SRfan07 15:47, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
- It doesn't make sense and has no source, that and the "Quint" reference should be removed. There is no clear indication that the boat was named after Quint, and with no source it needs to be removed. Bignole 15:51, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
Merge Will Toale
[edit]Vote
- No merge - Will Toale is an actor, not a character. This article is about the Aquaman program, and not a place for actor biographies. He should be a stub, or deleted entirely. Bignole 02:53, 15 January 2007 (UTC)
- No merge -- He's already mentioned! He's a nobody! His entry should be deleted. ReporterSteven 10:07, 15 January 2007 (UTC)
- No merge - delete Will Toale. Rhindle The Red 02:28, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
Aqua
[edit]What is the correct way to represent the Aqua title of the Smallville episode. "Aqua" as well as 'Aqua' is used here, which is right? Davey4 14:04, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
- I think Aqua. Bignole
- Episode titles go in quotes, so it's "Aqua", but only one needed changing. --Nalvage 15:57, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
- I thought episode titles were like movie titles, where they are italicized. Bignole 17:06, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
- From the Manual of Style. The rule of thumb is that larger works (novels, albums, TV shows) go in italics, and subdivisions of those works (chapters, songs, episodes) go in quotes. --Nalvage 18:21, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
- Ok, cool. I wasn't sure about that one. Thanks for clearing it up. Bignole 18:33, 28 January 2007 (UTC)

- The problem with some of these and with many already on the page is that they are fan sites, not legitimate journalistic outlets. For example, the claim in the final para that Hartley was "praised" for his work is "corroborated" by a fan site devoted to the pilot; one would hardly expect such a review to be remotely objective. 12.22.250.4 22:43, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
- Which is why I proposed the entire removal of the reviews from the article. I could see the relevance of reviews if the show had been released officially on television, but it was remanded to iTunes, and though it became the number one tv show bought, there is nothing to show that any professional critics actually paid for it so they could review it. BIGNOLE (Contact me) 22:45, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
- I probably agree with Bignole about this one now. The Reaction section is basically just quoting what few reviews from comic/movie websites there are, so it's not really that solid. I think there is enough info in Release - the digital downloads and the quote about it and so on. Davey4 04:46, 13 May 2007 (UTC)

Possible Series Ok
[edit]-You know how Justin Hartley is working on a new CW series. They still haven't annouced what it is and Mercy Reef did so well as a pilot. Maybe the CW is secretly filming Mercy Reef as a surprise for everyone. I have no evidence really but it would be cool if it happened.
- I agree, but please know that this isn't the place for forum-esque discussions. BIGNOLE (Contact me) 16:30, 19 May 2007 (UTC)
Category
[edit]Now that it was shown on TV, should it still be in Category:Unaired television pilots?? Davey4 05:27, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
- I think the category can go now, since it has technically aired. BIGNOLE (Contact me) 11:43, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
Entourage
[edit]How can there be no mention, either to support or deny, the connection to the Aquaman movie subplot in Entourage to this property existing? It aired four months before the "Aqua" episode aired, while "Smallville" was on summer hiatus. Which is a full year before the pilot was shot. That this is not addressed one way or another seems a rather suspicious oversight. Guess someone forgot to bribe those particular PR flacks/wiki editors.... 72.130.94.107 (talk) 22:28, 20 September 2012 (UTC)
