NPoV Editors
[edit]I found this article last year, and turned from a unreferenced vanity article it into something pretty decent. It then had a few constructive edits until Alissruby got hold of it in December 2008, and it seems has since been part of a co-ordinated publicity attack to remove which it would seem from tracking back through the edit record have been undertaken by editors who would fail a WP:NPOV test. I have reverted this article back to a version which existed before December 2008, with a few pieces of referenced value added by the occasional anon or registered editor who wasn't trying to fight blatant vandalism. I will keep an eye on this one, but boy is it disappointing to see such activity on what was then/is again now well referenced. Rgds, --Trident13 (talk) 18:49, 23 July 2009 (UTC)

[edit]Hello,
I'd like to may several small changes to this page, to correct factual errors and add new information. I believe these to be helpful and non-controversial but I mention this because I am an employee of Anya Hindmarch and have been asked to monitor this page to ensure it's accurate.
I would like to replace the current Awards section with the copy below:
- Awards
In 2009 Anya Hindmarch was awarded an MBE in recognition of her contribution to the British fashion industry. Other awards include the British Fashion Award for Brand of the Year (2007) and Accessories Designer of the Year (2001, 2014), the Glamour magazine Designer of the Year (2007, 2015) and the Elle Style Award for Accessories Designer of the Year (2008, 2016) and a Elle Outstanding Achievement Award.
In April 2012, Hindmarch was named Veuve Cliquot businesswoman of the year. She was the 40th winner of the annual award, which has been previously won by Dame Anita Roddick and Dame Marjorie Scardino.[16]
- Other Roles
Anya Hindmarch is a trustee of both the Royal Academy and the Design Museum and a non-executive Director of the British Fashion Council. Anya Hindmarch was made a UK trade ambassador in 2011, is a Birthday Honours Committee member and is on the Advisory Board for the Mayor of London.[16]
Later on I will probably have more substantial changes, but I will add these to the talk page to gain consensus before making any direct changes.
Please don't hesitate to reach me on my talk page if you have any questions,

- Please clarify what is new in that proposals. Please note that any change you make needs to be supported by reliable source (see WP:RS for what a "reliable source" is in Wikipedia). The need for sourcing is described in the policy, WP:VERIFY. Jytdog (talk) 18:20, 17 March 2016 (UTC)
Hello - I've added some new awards: Glamour Awards 2015 [1] and Elle Awards 2016 [2]
I have also removed some positions that Anya doesn't currently hold: Governor for the University of the Arts London, co-chair of the RA summer party and trustee, Mother's for Children.
I have also separated Awards and Roles so there is a clear distinction between the two.
Thanks,

[edit]Thank you. Would it also be possible to add some more recent activity. I have suggested some copy and reliable references below which I hope are formatted properly.
For Spring Summer 2015 Anya Hindmarch introduced the Sticker Shop [1], a range of leather stickers that can be used to personalise your accessories.
Anya Hindmarch was the first accessories designer to hold an on-schedule London Fashion Week show. Shows have included models floating over the catwalk [2], a 120-strong male choir [3] and models walking within an artful Rubik’s cube[4].
In addition, the collections are showcased in seasonal pop-ups that have included a ‘Mini Mart’ on London’s Mount Street[5] and an Anya Hindmarch ‘Service Station’[6], the first retail installation to be housed in the Selfridges London car park.

- All the colorful language would need to go. Wikipedia is not a magazine, it is an encyclopedia. You need a source for "Anya Hindmarch was the first accessories designer to hold an on-schedule London Fashion Week show." That is probably the only encyclopedic thing here. The rest is just promotional stuff in my view. See WP:NOTNEWS and WP:PROMO. Jytdog (talk) 18:11, 21 March 2016 (UTC)
- For the citations, you need to provide more information, like the author of the piece, the title of the piece, where it was published, etc. If you look at the article and how I formatted the citations, you will see what i mean. If you want to contribute to Wikipedia you need to take the time to learn the basics. I format citations simply; there are more complicated ways to do it explained here that involve templates etc. that I don't mess around with. Here is an example of how I tend to format refs: "Leisa Barnett for Vogue UK. 24 Sept. 2008 Happy Hampers". Here is an example of a more complicated template: "Moulds, Josephine (19 April 2012). "Handbag queen named businesswoman of the year". The Guardian. London." Jytdog (talk) 18:17, 21 March 2016 (UTC)
Thank you for the feedback. Would these updates be possible?
In 2013 Anya Hindmarch became the first accessories designer to hold an on-schedule London Fashion Week show.[1]
In 2014 Anya Hindmarch introduced the Sticker Shop, a range of leather stickers. The collection generated £12 million in the first year.[2]
In 2015 the Anya Hindmarch ‘Service Station’[3] was the first retail installation to be housed in the Selfridges London car park.[4]

- Thanks for toning it down and fixing the refs. Starting from the bottom up - pop-up stores are nothing new; the location of one is not a big deal and not encyclopedic. OK, on the stickers thing. On the "the first" claim in the first paragraph, can you please provide independent sourcing for that? this article seems to say that other accessories designers had shows in 2013 in London and that this was not her first there. "The first" is a strong claim and needs strong sourcing. Jytdog (talk) 18:09, 22 March 2016 (UTC)
Hello. Would it be possible to add the sticker shop content? Will come back to you as soon as possible on the London Fashion Week references. Thanks! Jennifer at Anya Hindmarch (talk) 09:27, 11 April 2016 (UTC)
