Plot summary/copy vio
[edit]My reasoning for deleting (twice) the plot taken verbatim (changed slightly the second time) from IMDB is as follows.
This is the relevant section on "fair use" in Wikipedia: Fair Use. As I understand these policies, "copyright exists automaticaly". If the material is not Public Domain, licensed under the GFDL or specifically licensed to Wikipedia on suitable terms, it should not be used verbatim. The text should be rewritten. I believe that the plot summaries on IMDB are copyright protected, therefore they should not be used verbatim, but should be rewritten. Should there be further disagreement, rather than entering into an edit war, I propose to pose the issue at the appropriate place for a consensus opinion. Plot point
[edit]I found myself getting fascinated with the plot point: who poses as Annie's parents--Rooster and ?? I added a few quotes from some reviews, but the last one from the Newark Star Ledger is really the closer for me. I think I've gone on too long about this, I may watch the movie again and then delete everything that I've just written, I have convinced myself that it was Hannigan and Rooster, enough said.JeanColumbia 13:54, 10 November 2007 (UTC)
Racial diversity
[edit]Should we mention that they put a black girl and an Asian girl among the orphans, and that the billionaire's secretary is black (with an implied interracial marriage impending)? These things would have been unheard of in the real 1930s. Kudos to Disney for making things "better" but it's anti-historical and hides America's shameful past.
If there's no strong objection, I'll look for reviews that mention some of these things. --Uncle Ed (talk) 17:08, 3 March 2017 (UTC)
