Anachronistic Union Flag

When Gilbert Blythe was joining the train to leave PEI for the Front, someone was waving a Union Flag. Nothing wrong with that, you say. It was the flag of Canada too until 1965. Well, yes, except that the someone was waving the 1707 Union Flag which does not include the St Patrick's Cross and which has not been in use since 1801 -- even on PEI ! -- Derek Ross | Talk 05:43, 3 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
