The result of the move request was: no consensus to rename. Proposed title created as a redirect. Jenks24 (talk) 15:09, 9 March 2017 (UTC)
Hanuma Betta → Hanumagiri Betta – The heading given to the page is misleading and contrary to facts. There is no official government records to show that this hillock is known as Hanuma Betta at any point of time. Please refer the link below which clearly shows that as per government records this is known as 'Hanumagiri Betta'. http://www.thehindu.com/news/cities/bangalore/stop-construction-on-hanumagiri-hill-ncpnr/article6009561.ece Hence, I request you to change the heading to Hanumagiri Betta. RKH1969 (talk) 05:46, 9 February 2017 (UTC) Malformed request repaired – wbm1058 (talk) 14:16, 16 February 2017 (UTC) Relisted. Jenks24 (talk) 07:58, 1 March 2017 (UTC)
- Comment. I'm not sure what to make of this. There are two other citations for the article that do use the name Hanuma Betta. – wbm1058 (talk) 14:16, 16 February 2017 (UTC)
- Comment RKH1969 says no govt records refer to the hillock as Annamma Betta but provides no such govt record to support its name being Hanumagiri Betta. Either way, a redirect will be required for one off the two names. Flat Out (talk) 04:14, 17 February 2017 (UTC)
- The Hindu uses the proposed title. Daiji World used "Annamma Hill" in 2009 but then used "Hanumagiri Hill" in 2012. Deccan Herald uses the current title and "Hanumagiri" interchangeably, but it also solely uses the proposed title and "Hanumagiri Hill". The book uses "Annamma Hill" and "Hanumagiri". Udupi Today uses "Hanumagiri hill" (sentence case). If English language is encouraged, change Betta to "Hill". No opinion about "Annamma (the girl who inspired the hill) and Hanumagiri" situation. --George Ho (talk) 21:24, 24 February 2017 (UTC)
- Oppose. Both the Deccan Herald [1] and The Hindu [2] use the current name. The official name is not relevant. Andrewa (talk) 08:26, 8 March 2017 (UTC)
