Primary topic
[edit]Annam as a name of Vietnam (or of its central region) appears to be by far more common than the other uses on the list, so I would suggest making that the primary topic. Kauffner (talk) 15:26, 25 February 2010 (UTC)
Regarding the supposed Dab entry
- * Annam (food), annam is the generic Sanskrit word for "food", such as the food made for Prithu
it satisfies the logic of the one-red-and-one-blue-link exception to "exactly one link, which must be blue, per Dab entry", and i found, by following Prithu#cite note-3, this footnote:
- The Vedas use the Sanskrit word annam meaning generic "food-stuffs". "Annam" . Bhaktivedanta VedaBase Network. Archived from the original on 24 June 2010.
(It has links interested colleagues could follow.) Recall however not only that WP is an encyclopedia (a facility for info that is beyond the scope of lexicography), but also that Dabs exist in it with the specific purpose of locating for users the encyclopedic (i.e., encyclopedia-worthy) information that made them bother using WP to research annam or Prithu.
Even the information provided by its footnote is inadequate to turn the Prithu article into a source of encyclopedic info on that sense of "Annam"; rather, that would require content about e.g. the rituals and symbology of annam practices in the veneration of Prithu.
