Fieldcon's Removal

[edit]

I have removed fieldcon because it doesn't seem to be important to anyone. I mean, the attendance was only about 50 people, and it's just a little outdoor get together. If this qualifies, then why doesn't the dance *prod*. Now, if for some reason fieldcon was important, perhaps it could be included. For example if Anime News Network writes an article say "Anime Punch! is expanding the field of anime conventions to... well... a field...", you get the idea. As of now, though, I'm not convinced of it's worth mentioning. Feel free to convince me, I'm usually easily swayed. Kopf1988 (talk) 23:52, 3 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Importance has little to do with attendance, but this is the first anime convention that is completely outdoors, which makes it pretty significant and worth mentioning in AP's article since they also run that convention. --Farix (Talk) 14:54, 6 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, I can agree. But that brings up another question: are we sure it's the first anime convention that's completely outdoors? Kopf1988 (talk) 00:41, 7 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
