Coments
[edit]I created this article. There have been many books written on the subject of Anglo Marri wars but these books are not popular among the general public. Yes, the article is still in stub position but certainly it will take some time to fully flourished in detail. Article will improved by the contribution of Wikipedians very soon. - The article is based on this EB 1911 article, which does not mention "wars". The information was obtained prior to 1911, so statements such as "Since then they have given little trouble" cannot be taken as correct. andy (talk) 20:17, 7 October 2008 (UTC)

Anglo-Marri Wars → Anglo-Baloch Wars – Involvement of Bugti and other tribes. Waleed (talk) 21:03, 20 November 2024 (UTC) Fixed per Special:Diff/1258597310. Rotideypoc41352 (talk · contribs) 16:30, 20 November 2024 (UTC)
- Lowercase "wars". This is about a group of wars and is not a proper name. No opinion on Marri versus Baloch. — BarrelProof (talk) 05:20, 21 November 2024 (UTC)
- Move to Anglo-Baloch wars, lower-case per BarrelProof (and more pertinently per MOS:CAPS, MOS:NCCAPS, MOS:MILCAPS). The nominator is correct that this conflict was not between the British and the Marri alone. Both the present and proposed title are WP:NDESCs, not source-attested terms, and there doesn't seem to be a collected one. "Anglo-Marri war[s]" is not attested in Google Scholar sources at all [1], while at least "Anglo-Baloch war" does occur in one of them [2]. — SMcCandlish ☏ ¢ 😼 09:45, 21 November 2024 (UTC)
- AfD This appears to be an inappropriate content fork of the First Anglo-Afghan War (and Siege of Kahun), the Second Anglo-Afghan War and Operations against the Marri and Khetran tribes for the three "wars" herein though there are also glaring inconsistencies such as a year of 1917 herein v 1918 for the operations and the one google scholar source for "Anglo-Baloch War of 1839" (per SMcC) does not correspond with the date herein for the first war. AfDing resolves this question. Cinderella157 (talk) 10:27, 21 November 2024 (UTC)
Unused sources

I've cleaned up all the citations from their original poor versions (they were untemplated, inconsistent, full of honorifics inside the citations, missing key details, and in some cases had serious errors (wrong authors, titles, etc.). — SMcCandlish ☏ ¢ 😼 09:38, 21 November 2024 (UTC)
"Unknown"
[edit]Various things in the infobox are labeled unknown, but at least for British forces probably are not, and findable in sources not consulted yet (or possibly even in those already cited here), since the British Army kept rather meticulous records. — SMcCandlish ☏ ¢ 😼 09:39, 21 November 2024 (UTC)
