So what is the exact difference between "Angle-of-Arrival" and "Direction-of-Arrival"? The DoA article points to the AoA article, but this does not really make it clear. Mbssch 17:29, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
Direction of Arrival defines the vector from you...or you platform to the target. Angle of Arrival is relative your sensor orientation....Generally its the 2-D plane that defines your sensor
This article is very imcomplete. AOA in general has nothing to do with TOA. Angle of arrival is the projection of the 3-D direction of Arrival onto the AOA plane. The most popular form of AOA is monopulse. A beamformer is used to generate a sum and difference beam. Comparing the ratios of measurements in the Sum beam and difference beam allows for the AOA estimate. A calbration table is used to lookup a voltage which will equate to the AOA required to get that voltage. Once looked... up you can project back to the DOA vector onto the the local tangent...(nominally ref in East North Up coord)....Those than can be covered to ECEF or GEODECTIC..... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.255.231.183 (talk) 00:49, 20 June 2013 (UTC)
Bluetooth 5.1
[edit]Should there be a paragraph or section on the addition of AoA/AoD to the Bluetooth 5.1 standard? ThePlug111 (talk) 23:20, 3 September 2022 (UTC)
