Moving section on social security reforms

[edit]

I moved the section about social security reforms to a comprehensive list of social security reforms in post-war Italy. The reason is that the very detailed, not interlinked, and long list does not really contribute to a better understanding of the person Fanfani. These reforms were performed by ministers in his cabinet from different parties and not necessarily by Fanfani himself. In addition they have to be seen in context with the reforms of other cabinets, given the fact that Italian governments are often short-lived and social security bills often overlap different cabinets. In a separate article people nevertheless can check the reforms. - DonCalo (talk) 12:44, 31 August 2013 (UTC) Hallo[reply]

Date Format

[edit]

I reverted the date format changes. There is no reason to use the American formatting here, since according to WP:STRONGNAT this is only the case on article having American subjects. Alex2006 (talk) 05:49, 3 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Nothing on Europe

[edit]

Once he joined the Christian Democrats, Fanfani was a fervent supporter of the European movement, especially the creation of the European Economic Community. Reading this article, gives not the slightest inkling of his position, particularly in the formative period of the project.--Po Mieczu (talk) 23:17, 3 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Acting president

[edit]

Checco, Ritchie92, Autospark, Scia Della Cometa, sorry for pinging you here, but I would like to know your opinions about the ongoing edit war with this anonymous user, regarding the office of Acting President of the Republic. In my view, we can remove it from the infobox, but if it can be useful, I think we should write “Acting President of Italy” and not “President of Italy (Acting)” like the user proposed, because the first version is the most correct translation of Presidente supplente della Repubblica. Thanks. -- Nick.mon (talk) 16:59, 25 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I am all for not mentioning the acting presidency in the infobox. --Checco (talk) 04:21, 28 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I don't see the necessity to enter this information in the infobox.--Scia Della Cometa (talk) 23:04, 29 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, I would keep only for De Nicola and De Gasperi, which served as "Provisional Head of State", which was a bit different from Acting President. -- Nick.mon (talk) 08:13, 2 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

"Second term as a secretary"

[edit]

This section correctly states that "Those voting "yes" wanted to outlaw divorce as had been the case before the law came into effect, and those voting "no" wanted to retain the law and their newly gained right to divorce." Since the referendum did not outlaw divorce, the following sentence seems incorrect: "Despite Fanfani's activism, the "no" front was defeated by margin of 59.3% to 40.7%"

Shouldn't it be "the 'yes' front was defeated?" Tikiwikialex (talk) 16:51, 30 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
