Contested deletion

[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because her single charted. Also, she has had several notable voice acting roles. --Moscow Connection (talk) 09:33, 8 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@CaroleHenson: The article does "credibly indicate the importance or significance of the subject". First look at the "Solo singles" table. It says her single charted at number 8 in Japan and it links to the Oricon website, so you can check it for yourself. Then look at WP:MUSICBIO #2.
I honestly have no idea why you decided to speedily delete it. --Moscow Connection (talk) 09:39, 8 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

There are not sufficient sources to establish notability. I routed this to the article about the group. You can add information there about her. Even the Japanese version of the article about her has issues because there are not sufficient sources to establish notability.--CaroleHenson (talk) 09:41, 8 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
See this conversation.--CaroleHenson (talk) 09:47, 8 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
It looks like Yukinotane is not knowledgeable about Wikipedia. --Moscow Connection (talk) 09:53, 8 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
His version [1] didn't prove notability, the one we have here does. --Moscow Connection (talk) 09:56, 8 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • (edit conflict) Are you talking about the templates in the Japanese Wikipedia? The first one is something like "Refimprove", the second one says you shouldn't use a TV show you watched as a source. (If it has been published on a DVD or on the web or something like that, then you can.) The third one says you can't use radio shows as a source. --Moscow Connection (talk) 09:51, 8 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, there are no sufficient reliable sources in that article. I tried searching and I could not find sufficient reliable, secondary sources for a separate article. Please see WP:GNG and WP:MUSICBIO. It requires significant coverage from reliable secondary sources - and see the specific items in the MusicBio about what is needed to establish notability.
This is likely a case of WP:TOSOON.--CaroleHenson (talk) 09:58, 8 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
You probably searched for sources in English. I've searched in Japanese and I've expanded the article a bit already. I will now add a few sentences about her current voice-acting roles and I'm done. --Moscow Connection (talk) 10:30, 8 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Google News search: [2].
(I wasn't planning to spend lots of time on this article. I will add a few sentences and that's all.) --Moscow Connection (talk) 10:37, 8 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move 8 December 2016

[edit]
The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the move request was: moved. There is a clear consensus that, unless reliable sources consistently use 'family name given name' order for a particular person, 'given name family name' order is used, as per the MOS:JAPAN guidelines. There are not many reliable sources writing on the subject of this person to begin with, but those that do exist either favour the standard English order or are inconsistent. In this case, our guidelines suggest that we should use the standard English order. (non-admin closure) RGloucester 18:14, 16 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
