Twitter Save.
[edit]Something has to be done about the page. You cannot exclude information like that from the page. It appears to be very inaccurate. Take a look at any XF page, for a better example of how we should do this. I suggest using their B2 sing-off box to house the 2 singers who landed in the B2 to begin with.
I'd argue that Sarina, doing a brand new song for her save me song, should be noted for that, too. But I think that one is up for debate.
As for tonight's Rayvon/Daniel B2 result though, here's what I suggest we should do:
- For the previous week, 1980s, don't list Daniel as eliminated for that performance, because he was not. That would imply he was guaranteed to be the lowest in votes. Technically speaking, he could've been second-to-last and Rayvon could've been the lowest. We should list them both as Bottom Two ONLY.
- Then, make an attached but segregated box below the other 7 performances, listed under "Twitter Save Sing-Off" or something of the like. Name's irrelevant. And then the results of the Twitter save, wherein Daniel was thusly eliminated. And he was, in fact, eliminated based off of THAT performance, and no other. As for Rayvon, the tricky factor here is whether to list him as "saved" or TBA.
It's either that, or list the Twitter saves separately. But I do think listing Daniel's performance song is tantamount. I'm interested to hear others' thoughts on how this should be edited.--Cinemaniac86Dane_Cook_Hater_Extraordinaire 05:37, 2 April 2015 (UTC)
I agree. We should do the exact same thing as The X Factor with listing both of them in the bottom two, and then having a "Twitter Save" section below, similarly to the "Final Showdown", with the contestant who got the least amount of tweets only "eliminated" in the twitter save section. For the elimination table, I think we use the same color as the "Bottom 2/3", which writing "Elim" instead, because they were both in the bottom two. Arcticgriffin (talk) 01:17, 3 April 2015 (UTC)
Twitter save in wrong place
[edit]Twitter save is listed under the Boy George episode but it happened during the Kelly Clarkson. Was attempting to fix it but the sections got all messed up so I undid it and hope someone else can fix this. :) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bbonds775 (talk • contribs) 06:45, 4 April 2015 (UTC)
I think the chart should be more clear the person who is "bottom 2" is also "Fan Saved". — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2602:306:CE95:57B0:29C7:F38A:F7BE:77D1 (talk) 02:45, 9 April 2015 (UTC)
Controversy?
[edit]How is that a controversy? The two sources given don't say that it's a controversy. What's controversial about someone speaking his mind? --Musdan77 (talk) 18:06, 17 April 2015 (UTC)
Hmmm? I don't think it's a controversy nor outside of what happens in reality TV and competitions all the time. - Georgeivs — Preceding unsigned comment added by Georgeivs vid (talk • contribs) 11:29, 18 April 2015 (UTC)
Maybe after some reputable sources say it's a controversy it could have it's own section? Personally i think it makes more sense where it is as news media are tying the incident to his being voted off the following week. Where most controversies i think are about contestant or judge behavior off the set. And not tied to one week in particular. Georgeivs vid (talk) 19:06, 24 April 2015 (UTC)
References for birthdate seems suspect
[edit]FYI, I suggest removing the blog being used to share the birthdates of the contestants. She might be right but it's still a fan site of the show. Georgeivs vid (talk) 05:31, 20 April 2015 (UTC)
Yeah, I agree. Until someone finds another source of the birthdates, I'd say remove them. The website and blogger does seem kind of suspect. Arcticgriffin (talk) 21:42, 23 April 2015 (UTC)
They were all attributed to her. No indication her blog has inside AI info. Georgeivs vid (talk) 18:59, 24 April 2015 (UTC)
Bottom 2/3.
[edit]I think adding a kind of section to describe Rayvon Owen's run during the course of landing in the bottom every week. Perhaps someone could learn if it's the longest un-broken streak in the bottom 2/3 of Idol? Arcticgriffin (talk) 21:45, 23 April 2015 (UTC)
Wildcard in the table
[edit]As there was no separate wildcard round this season like there has been in the past, I suggest removing the column from the table. They were "instant wildcard" choices based off the previous week's performances, so Adanna and Quentin should still have a yellow "Top 12" box and everyone else would have a blue one. The contestants that did not advance would have the traditional gray "Elim" box. MarkMc1990 (talk) 17:29, 24 April 2015 (UTC)
Yeah, whoever added that didn't watch the actual show. Arcticgriffin (talk) 20:20, 24 April 2015 (UTC)
Spoilers every week :(
[edit]With only one show per week and the eliminations being done on performance night, it's a real pity that the Wikipedia page can't be formatted better with the results displayed underneath the weekly table and not in a column alongside. If (like me) you're not up to date with each episode and don't wish to sit through whole episodes, it's impossible to refer to Wiki to see who sang what (and watch on Youtube) without seeing the results. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.190.153.54 (talk) 07:59, 25 April 2015 (UTC)
last season?
[edit]Is there a reference for the annoncement of next season being the last? I assume it was announced by ryan seacrest during an episode? If thats so, i think the article needs to specify that! On a side note, i'd like to add that if the ratings are down its probably because they really should of changed the format to have two winners, one a male and one a female. That because im sure once all the females on the show are eliminated, it makes the males stop watching and voting, and vice-versa. I know with jax losing in this season, ive lost interest in the show now.
