Conflicting end-date for series

[edit]

The introductory text of the article has this to say: The series spans a thirty-eight year period from 1884 to 1922 and also this: the point at which it currently ends, in 1923 ...does someone know which is correct? Stefan Kruithof (talk) 15:22, 29 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It is 1923. I've updated the introductory text.Khowaga (talk) 17:38, 22 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ordering

[edit]

The headings "Preceded by" and "Followed by" in the info boxes for each novel are ambiguous. From 2004 (Guardian of the Horizon) onwards, Elizabeth Peters began writing novels fitting into chronological gaps between earlier published novels. This created a discrepancy between publication order and chronological order. I have amended the entries in the info boxes to reflect internal chronological order, since this is likely to be of more interest to the average reader wanting to follow the characters through their development. Publication order is probably of more limited interest, restricted to those wanting to study the novels as literary productions, rather than parts of a larger narrative.
