"Khowaga" is a not terribly flattering word in Egyptian Arabic for "foreigner" which this particular Khowaga has chosen to wear as a badge of honor. He is a nice, young lad of about thirty-*cough* years of age who resides in the southern United States in a nice suburban home that he shares with a neurotic dog, an even more neurotic professional marketer, several houseplants in various and prolongued stages of impending death, and several thousand ants.
He has spent innumerable time mucking about the Middle East and in Middle East related sections of various universities as well as in other, far less interesting, locales. He enjoys goofing off at work, fine cuisine and wine, the occasional bad film, and only very rarely ever refers to himself in the third person.
