Notability
[edit]@Ahmed Reza Khan: As the article has previously been deleted several times, with concerns about notability, what would you say are the three strongest sources establishing the article's notability? ChaotıċEnby(talk · contribs) 17:25, 6 February 2024 (UTC)
- @Chaotic Enby Yes, I think the article deserves to be on Wikipedia. Peyush Bansal, Vineeta Singh, Anupam Mittal articles are also almost similar. Those articles are on Wikipedia, so it should be. Ahmed Reza Khan (talk) 17:38, 6 February 2024 (UTC)
- Wikipedia:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS is not a very good argument, especially as the notability has also been questioned. Which of your sources establish the notability of this person in particular? ChaotıċEnby(talk · contribs) 17:40, 6 February 2024 (UTC)
- @Chaotic Enby He is most popular because of Shark Tank India, which is mentioned in most places. And he is also in the news as the co-founder and CMO of electronics company boAt. He is notable as a businessman. Moreover, he has been a judge in a reality show (Shark Tank India) for 3 years, which is also noteworthy. There is also news that he went to Kapil Sharma Show, Kaun Banega Crorepati, Rashtrapati Bhavan. Ahmed Reza Khan (talk) 17:53, 6 February 2024 (UTC)
- @Chaotic Enby Why are Peyush Bansal, Vineeta Singh, Anupam Mittal articles considered significant when they are similar? Ahmed Reza Khan (talk) 17:54, 6 February 2024 (UTC)
- I do not know if they are significant or not, they could also be reviewed if needed. In any case, his personal accomplishments or popularity don't matter if there aren't secondary, reliable sources giving significant coverage. Otherwise, "popularity" alone is subjective and hard to base an article on. Do you have these? ChaotıċEnby(talk · contribs) 18:03, 6 February 2024 (UTC)
- @Chaotic Enby I have provided 23 references to his article. The sources I have given are from reliable news channels. Are those references not enough? Ahmed Reza Khan (talk) 18:08, 6 February 2024 (UTC)
- Many of them, like those sourced from The Times of India, are not reliable (cf. WP:TOI). It is best to familiarize yourself with sourcing requirements before writing an article. ChaotıċEnby(talk · contribs) 18:14, 6 February 2024 (UTC)
- @Chaotic Enby I have now added many reliable references, see. Ahmed Reza Khan (talk) 18:46, 6 February 2024 (UTC)
- It is not about number, it is about the quality of the references. Which are the three best sources establishing notability? That's all that's needed. ChaotıċEnby(talk · contribs) 18:50, 6 February 2024 (UTC)
- @Chaotic Enby Most of the references given here are reliable. All of these are India's leading news channels. I have seen that most of the articles of Indian people on Wikipedia are cited from these news channels to prove their notability. Based on the references given in Aman Gupta's article, his article should be placed on Wikipedia. But 'blp sources' template can be added if needed.
- I have seen many articles on wikipedia with only 1 reference, which is also not reliable. Yet those articles are on Wikipedia! See Dinesh Kaushik. Ahmed Reza Khan (talk) 03:34, 7 February 2024 (UTC)

Templates
[edit]I don't understand why these templates are being added to the article. I don't understand why it's called paid. What is written in the article that makes it called paid? Ahmed Reza Khan (talk) 10:36, 13 February 2024 (UTC)
Infobox
[edit]@Tony1 Why did you remove the names of his wife, parents and number of children from the article's infobox? Ahmed Reza Khan (talk) 06:18, 14 February 2024 (UTC)
- Are they "notable", and are they of central concern to the subject? Special rules apply to biographical articles. Tony (talk) 00:05, 15 February 2024 (UTC)
- @Tony1 I have seen that most of the articles mention the name of the spouse, and the number of children in infobox, even if the spouse is not notable. For example, see Anupam Mittal, Peyush Bansal, Vineeta Singh, Parambrata Chatterjee, Rupam Islam. Ahmed Reza Khan (talk) 03:34, 15 February 2024 (UTC)
- Bad practice is no reason for repeating such here. There must be a WP article on those people, or a reference in the inbox field. Tony (talk) 11:48, 15 February 2024 (UTC)
