[edit]I believe the official site's history has an error; I'd tell them but they don't have an email address listed. The 1917 extension was not to the ex-CP&StL Litchfield and Madison Railway (later C&NW), which was split from the CP&StL in 1904, but slightly beyond to what was still the Chicago, Peoria and St. Louis Railroad, later the Alton and Eastern Railroad, Illinois Terminal Company, and now Norfolk Southern Railway at Edwardsville Road. --NE2 18:45, 30 November 2008 (UTC)
