Commentary
it would be valuable to add a section that speaks of the general stereotypes of this fraternity. Nothing mean of course but those who want to know about a fraternity care very little about its past and more about how it represents itself in the present. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.130.128.185 (talk) 17:53, 9 September 2008 (UTC)
- Are the terms "fraternity" and "sorority" interchangeable? (They seem to be used that way in the article.) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.177.32.207 (talk) 17:11, 11 June 2014 (UTC)
- ΑΞΔ was created using the term "women's fraternity," as the alternative name, "sorority," had not yet been coined. "Sorority " was announced by Gamma Phi Beta upon its later founding, and became popularized during the ensuing decade. Collegiate womens' groups today use the terms interchangeably. There has been no rush to the doors to change this wording on incorporation documents, since both are terms of pride. Jax MN (talk) 15:18, 23 November 2014 (UTC)
Founders
I think there should be a section on the founders and go into more depth on what they did to make Alpha Xi Delta happen. The article already says who the founders are but it doesn't really go into much detail about them. to improve
Hello, future bored sorority girls/people interested in greek life. This is my unasked-for peer review. I've chopped all of the promotional material, removed alumnae who aren't notable or source-able, and sourced the alumnae with the exception of Gail Kobe, who I have some reason to believe may actually be an axid. To improve this article, I'd recommend a heavy, sourced expansion of the history section. See Alpha Kappa Alpha for a great example or Alpha Gamma Delta, Alpha Sigma Tau, and Alpha Chi Omega for decent panhellenic examples. Also, someone should expand the AmaXIng challenge section if it's relevant and also add more content to the lead. originalmesshow u doin that busta rhyme? 05:05, 18 June 2018 (UTC)
