"Fairly"?
[edit]a fairly specific shade of red. - I don't know enough to say for sure, but it seems that we would want to remove the adjective "fairly". KConWiki (talk) 04:50, 30 January 2010 (UTC)
- Agreed. I doubt there is anything particularly "specific" about it as well. In a technical sense it would be more appropriate to say it's simply "a red hue", so I'm making that edit. Autumnalmonk (talk) 11:34, 3 February 2010 (UTC)
- Nolo contendere; I have no experitise in the area of color names. From the usage examples cited in the article, it seems indeed a somewhat vague term (like all color names, actually). --Jorge Stolfi (talk) 11:47, 3 February 2010 (UTC)
Possible removal from list
[edit]An entry in List of colors: A–F contained a link to this page.
The entry is: Alizarin crimson
I don't see any evidence that this color is supported by an relaible sources in this article and plan to delete it from the list per this discussion: Talk:List_of_colors#Color_issues_A-Al
If someone tracks down reliable sources to support the color and its coordinates, I would appreciate a ping.S Philbrick(Talk) 14:43, 4 August 2018 (UTC)
