Stepper doesn’t have to image each chip individually

Regarding: "The disadvantage to the stepper is that each chip on the wafer has to be individually imaged"

This sentence is only true if there is only one chip per reticle field. On many (most?) ICs, each reticle field contains multiple instances of the chip, and therefore in a stepper system, each reticle field, not necessarily each chip, has to be individually exposed. joelion55 (talk) 01:17, 8 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
